Auto: A Russian license needs IDP plus local endorsement, recognition for proper legality; many travelers use a driver instead. Self-drive cars are roughly $35-75/day for Alto, WagonR, Vitz class, while car-with-driver is common and often easier. No land borders: the issue is local traffic, narrow roads and whether you want to self-drive outside beach towns.
