Auto: Russian local licenses are usually workable when the plastic has Latin transliteration; carry an IDP, translation because rental desks and police can still ask. Rentals are a strong Balkans value: roughly €18-45/day for Panda, i10/Clio class, more for Duster, SUVs, with manual cars common and deposits, card holds variable. Cross-border is possible to Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and sometimes Bosnia, Serbia, Greece only with written permission and Green Card, IMIC; summer queues at Muriqan, Hani i Hotit can be slow.

Summers stay green and comfortable around 18–26°C. Foggy mornings and occasional heavy rainstorms in spring and autumn.
